With only nine guest chalets Mbuna Bay offers its visitors peace, tranquility and first class comfort in an authentic African environment.
Mbuna Bay is a true Eco Lodge observing high standards for sustainable tourism in Mozambique. The lodge is fully solar powered including solar-based water heaters which provide warm water to all chalets.

Satisfying your palate is an important part of your stay with us and we delight in exposing you to new taste sensations. Our vegetarian menus are designed daily to celebrate the seasonal produce grown in our own organic gardens. Our chefs can be found in the gardens mornings and afternoons gathering the harvest for another fresh, exquisite creation. From the very beginning, the development of the local community has been one of the major aims behind Mbuna Bay. Apart from creating employment opportunities, the lodge continuously offers various income-generating possibilities and has been implementing several projects in the areas of health, education, agriculture and community empowerment.
My favorite thing about Mbuna Bay wasn't the friendly staff, the beautiful beach chalet or the delicious food. The lodge has a great relationship with the community & is a great model of sustainable, responsible development.
